Privacy Policy

Account information. When you sign up for early access or create an account, we collect your name, email address, dealership name, and approximate inventory size.

Usage data. We collect information about how you interact with the platform, including VIN scan events, GPS coordinates recorded during scans, navigation actions, and session metadata (browser type, device type, IP address).

Location data. LotTrack captures GPS coordinates from your device at the time of each VIN scan. This location data is tied to the scanned vehicle, not stored as a continuous location history of your device.

Communications. If you contact us by email or through a form, we retain those communications to respond to your inquiry.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the LotTrack platform
• Process waitlist signups and communicate early access details
• Respond to customer service requests and support tickets
• Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset)
• Send product updates and announcements (you may opt out at any time)
• Analyze usage patterns to improve the product
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

Service providers. We use third-party vendors to help operate our platform (e.g., cloud hosting, email delivery, analytics). These vendors have access to your information only as necessary to perform services on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect it.

Legal requirements. We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid subpoena, court order, or government request.

Business transfers. If LotTrack is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information is subject to a different privacy policy.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. Vehicle location data is retained as part of your inventory records until you delete a vehicle or close your account.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@lottrack.io. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

LotTrack is hosted on AWS infrastructure. We use TLS encryption for all data in transit and AES-256 encryption for data at rest. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel and protected by multi-factor authentication.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain session state and understand how users interact with our site. We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymized usage statistics. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Object to or restrict our processing of your information
• Export your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

LotTrack is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
